#003 - 1994 Eunos Roadster (JDM Miata)
Feature #003 brings us to a 1994 Eunos Roadster(right hand drive), driven by Weston.

This car was imported to the US a few years ago by the previous owner, from Japan. It came to the US with a roll bar, strut bar, and a few other mods. Weston bought this car for the low running costs of a Miata and the ease of maintenance. The previous owner had installed Flyin’ Miata front and rear sway bars, and otherwise left it pretty much alone.
“Ironically I’m not the biggest Miata fan in the world, which is why i went for a RHD import. I wanted something that stood out a little from your average track-going Miata.”- Weston

Weston started racing in a 2018 MX5, so this platform isn't all that new to him. However, having the MX5 also as his daily driver was becoming a bit of a practicality issue, so he decided to move on to his MK7.5 GTI.

Weston tracked the GTI for a few years then moved back to the Miata platform. The simplicity and low expenses brought him back in the form of the Eunos Roadster.
“Got tired of wrenching on the GTI”- Weston
“When you get in the water, the Miata stays attached.. Miata things.”- Weston may or may not have said that..
“I love the raw feeling of this car, every time I’m in this car it reminds me how numb every other car l've driven is. It feels so connected to the road and it's a blast to drive despite the noticeable lack of straightline speed. Also, I love how cheap it is to race in, and how easy it is to fix when I break it.” - Weston
Not only is the Miata a great track car, it looks great while doing so with the iconic Miata look we all know. Pushing that Miata to its limits around the track has earned Weston and his car their spot as the RCC Feature of the Week! #003

Since his acquisition of the car a little less than a year ago he has installed:
Xida coilovers,
949 racing wheels wrapped in Potenza
RE71-RS semislicks
Supermiata front big brake kit, EBC Pads and rotors on the rear, Racingbeat exhaust
Whiteline camber bushings
Aggressive foamectomy
New sound system/apple carplay
And above all, an excessive amount of maintenance with it being a 32 year old
Thank you to Weston for the info on his car, providing some of the photos, and sharing a part of his story with the RCC community!
